Interior Comparison

The 2024 Odyssey has over 160 cubic feet of interior space spread across three rows of seats. The 2024 Sienna offers similar specifications. Both vehicles are rated to carry up to eight adults. The 2024 Odyssey comes with active noise cancellation, resulting in a quieter and more refined cabin. It also gets active engine mounts as standard to reduce vibrations from the powertrain. The 2024 Sienna doesn’t offer these features.

The 2024 Sienna is available with a captain chair configuration for a premium experience. This reduces seating capacity to seven but improves second-row comfort and legroom. However, the 2024 Odyssey counters with Honda’s Magic Slide® seats as standard for the second row. These are three individual seats that can be slid fore-and-aft on their own. Moreover, they can even be removed from the vehicle. This allows buyers to still create a premium two-seat second row when desired. Plus, they can always replace the third seat when needed. This isn’t possible for 2024 Sienna buyers who choose the captain chair configuration.

Higher trims of the 2024 Odyssey come with the CabinWatch® system. This utilizes a rear cabin-mounted camera and lets the driver monitor the third row. They can communicate with the third row via the CabinTalk® system. This makes it easy to keep tabs on small children seated there. The 2024 Sienna doesn’t have similar features.

The 2024 Honda Odyssey gets tri-zone automatic climate control for all trims, with separate second-row controls and air vents for all three rows. All trims also have heated and power-adjustable front seats. Higher trims can be specified with leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and rear entertainment systems. The 2024 Sienna also offers some of these features.

Both minivans get Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®, plus Bluetooth® connectivity and optional wireless phone chargers. Meanwhile, the 2024 Odyssey can be fitted with a 550-watt premium audio system. This includes a subwoofer and multi-zone audio.

The 2024 Odyssey has a 33 cubic-foot trunk, as does the 2024 Sienna. Both vehicles also have folding second and third rows for more space. The 2024 Odyssey simplifies things here with its One-Motion 60-40 split-folding third-row Magic Seat®. Deploying this, plus removing the second-row seats, provides over 150 cubic feet of space. The 2024 Sienna can’t offer as much. Finally, the higher trims of the 2024 Odyssey get a power-operated tailgate for more convenience.

Moreover, there’s an intelligent traction management system with a snow mode. Hill start assist is also standard, as is Honda’s Eco Assist™ system.

The 2024 Toyota Sienna is only available as a hybrid. It features a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine with a CVT gearbox and two electric motors. The system is rated for up to 245 horsepower. Buyers can select front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configurations.

Safety Features Comparison

The 2024 Odyssey has Honda’s Sensing® suite as standard. This includes automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot monitoring.
